In my last blog I wrote about the hidden dangers of EMF or Electro smog Pollution.  I also have a very helpful podcast on this topic as well.  Our world is so different than it was100 years ago, and things that weren't even around then, are everywhere now!  With our fast-paced world of technology, it is hard to escape EMF pollution from cell phones, Wi-Fi routers, tablets, cell phone towers, stray voltage and more!  Thankfully there are a few things you can do to help reduce your exposer, including the wonderful little product called Biozen.

Another topic I want to take a look at are the hidden dangers of Fluorescent Lights

I have to tell a little story here… About 15 years ago, I got up in the middle of the night to get a drink. I came in our very dark kitchen and reached behind the sink to flip the switch which would turn on the 3 foot fluorescent light hanging over the island behind me.

Just as I flipped the switch, I heard a Kitty Meow! “What? We don’t have a house cat”, I said to myself! I looked out the window to see if there was a cat on the deck. Nope. I looked around the kitchen, and there on the island was a child’s puzzle. It was one of those magnetic puzzles with farm animals…I looked closer. The Kitten piece was missing! What?

Wondering if this could be what I heard. I reached over and flipped the switch to shut off the fluorescent light. I waited 15 seconds.

Then I reached and Flipped it back on.

OH MY GOODNESS! The Kitty Meowed again!

That’s correct! That Fluorescent light interrupted the atmosphere to such an extent that it set off the magnetic puzzle 31/2 feet away!

Can you imagine what it does to the delicate systems of the body? It is horrifying to say the least, that we must be exposed to this kind of disruption! Every day, day in and day out….every School is lit with Fluorescent, every work place, every government building….nearly all public places, and yes, sadly, many homes!

Every time the body is exposed to this type of unnatural light, the natural energy field is disrupted. This disruption causes a plethora of issues.

Fluorescent Lights last a long time and are cheap to operate, making them very appealing to use.  Using them, however, can come at a cost!

Many people working under fluorescent lights every day may notice negative health effects, such as… eye strain, migraine headaches, sleep problems, depression, poor immune systems, menstrual cycle disruption, obesity, anxiety, as well as increased breast cancer rates and tumor formations, and so many more!

A big concern with Fluorescent light bulbs is that they flicker.  These tubes contain a gas that glows when electricity is passed through it.  It's not a constant flow, but more like a pulse, causing the flicker.  This flicker often causes headaches, migraines, and other issues.

So what can you do to help?

Some of us do not have a choice and have to work under Fluorescent lights.  So what can you do to help reduce the negative effects?  Take a break, get outside!  Getting sun exposure throughout the day can definitely help.  Try to get outside and soak up some sunlight, or let in as much natural sunlight into your workspace as possible.

Try a full spectrum Bulb. There are also different types of fluorescent lights such as full spectrum or daylight spectrum lights which offer a better color temperature spread than regular fluorescent bulbs.  It's not the same as natural sunlight, but better than regular fluorescent bulbs.

You can also use Incandescent light bulbs.  A benefit of incandescent bulbs is that they are a constant source of light and don't flicker.  If you notice the flicker from a fluorescent light, having an incandescent light in the room can help cover up the flicker so it doesn't affect you.  Combining an incandescent light with your fluorescent lighting can also help to even out the color given off by fluorescent bulbs.

For more information on Fluorescent Lights and how they affect your health you can read a great article from ThoughtCo.com. Here, Chris Adams writes about the issue of Fluorescent lights and how they affect your health.  It is good to know that Science does recognize the issues with this form of lighting, and hopefully will continue to work to find solutions!

God bless you and yours,
